Events

The Hangout has always, and will always, be free for any and all young people who want to attend.

We charge no membership fee, and the provision of food, transport, and trips are also always free.

The Hangout is therefore funded entirely through donations, grants, and our series of events both within and outside of Leeds.

The Mission of our events is to provide a third space where people can come together, share food, and enjoy art and community.

The Hangout is an intergenerational project, where our events exist in their own right for adults as well as supporting our youth work, all are welcome to come and share in joy and creativity at our events whilst also supporting our work with our young people in East Leeds where we strive for Youth Liberation through creativity.

We are always looking for volunteer cooks, servers, drinks station volunteers, stall holders, ingredients, and a set up and cleanup crew, if you’d like to help out go to the ‘Donate‘ page and fill out the mutual aid form, or DM us on Instagram!
